Danhausen’s popularity inside WWE arenas appears to be growing quickly, and reactions from fans at SmackDown showed just how strong the response to him has become.
Following his recent appearance on SmackDown, Ringside News can confirm that Danhausen is getting a huge reaction from fans despite the backlash that followed his WWE debut earlier this year at Elimination Chamber. That debut, where he was revealed behind a crate, sparked criticism at the time, but reactions in the arena now tell a very different story.
Ringside News writer H. Jenkins was in attendance for the April 3 episode of SmackDown and reported that Danhausen stood out as one of the most noticeable names among fans throughout the night. According to the live report, there were large numbers of fans wearing Danhausen merchandise, showing clear support for his character. More importantly, his autograph demand reportedly exceeded expectations, even when compared to some of WWE’s biggest names.
“I saw more T-shirts for him. His autographs also sold out and they even had CM Punk and Cody left over when it comes to autographs at the end of the night.”
That autograph detail stands out because CM Punk and Cody Rhodes remain two of WWE’s top autograph and merchandise sellers in 2026. For Danhausen to sell out his autographs while theirs remained available signals that fan interest in him is rising fast.

What started as backlash after his debut now appears to be turning into strong support inside arenas, suggesting Danhausen is connecting with the WWE audience in a major way.
Do you think Danhausen’s rising fan support proves he’s becoming one of WWE’s breakout acts, or do you think it’s still too early to tell? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
