Danhausen’s WWE debut at Elimination Chamber led to a lot of boos during the show — but according to the man himself, the Chicago crowd loved every second of it.

Danhausen addressed the reaction to his WWE debut during the March 10 episode of the RAW Recap show. The debut saw him emerge from a coffin inside a mysterious crate with vampire-like dancers, a moment that drew a mixed reaction from the live crowd in Chicago and plenty of criticism across social media. But Danhausen clearly has a very different memory of how the moment played out inside the arena.

“The Chicago crowd? Oh, it was thunderous applause. It was great. I came out and it was like, ‘Yes, finally Danhausen arrived!’”

Continuing in his signature tongue-in-cheek style, Danhausen made it very clear that he could hear the entire arena reacting as if they had been waiting for him all along.

“I could hear each and every one of them jumping off their seats, giving me applause and saying, ‘Up yours, Dracula. Danhausen did it first.’”

Despite the mixed reaction after the reveal, Danhausen has since appeared on multiple WWE shows, including the March 2 episode of RAW, the March 6 episode of SmackDown, and the March 9 episode of RAW, where the reception improved in a big way.

For now, it seems Danhausen is leaning fully into the chaos surrounding his debut — and if his comments are any indication, he’s not too worried about what critics are saying.
