Damian Priest isn’t shutting down the idea of bringing his real-life relationship with Lola Vice onto WWE TV—but he’s making it clear it has to be done the right way.
This comes from Priest’s appearance on the Gabby AF, where he was asked directly whether he’d be open to incorporating his relationship with Lola Vice into a WWE storyline. Instead of avoiding the topic, Priest made his stance clear right away—if it helps the product, he’s all in.
“I think, especially now with social media, the show Unreal, and everything in between—if it benefits the show, I’m all for it.”
He then expanded on that mindset, stressing that wrestlers should always be thinking about the bigger picture, not just themselves. Priest made it clear that for him, the priority is elevating the entire show—and if a real-life angle can do that, it’s worth exploring.
“Because at the end of the day, that’s the mentality every pro wrestler should have. I know it’s an individual business—it’s not a team sport—but if your goal is to help the overall product, you’re going to help yourself anyway. So if it helps the show, if it enhances the program, I’m all for it, because it enhances all of us together—and that should always be the goal.”
He also made it very clear that execution matters more than the idea itself, noting that these kinds of angles only work if they feel natural: “All that stuff works, you know—especially if it’s not forced, and if it’s done the right way, I’m all for it.”
Then came the biggest takeaway—Priest confirmed the idea has already been discussed, but made it clear it’s not happening right now: “And we’ve talked about it, and it’s like—it’s possible one day.”
Finally, he drew a line that explains why WWE hasn’t gone in that direction yet, making it clear that Lola Vice’s individual identity comes first: “But right now, you have to not be Damian Priest’s girlfriend—you have to be Lola Vice, the champion.”
That last point changes the entire conversation. While the door is open, Priest isn’t interested in overshadowing Vice’s career or reducing her to just being part of his story. Instead, he’s prioritizing her standing as a competitor before anything else.
With real-life relationships becoming more common in wrestling storylines, Priest’s comments suggest it’s not a matter of if—but when—something like this could happen. If WWE eventually pulls the trigger, it won’t just be about real-life drama—it’ll be about timing it in a way that benefits both stars and the overall product.
