D-Von Dudley isn’t backing down in his war of words with Jim Ross—and now he’s making it clear that while forgiveness is on the table, free meals are not.

On the latest Duke Loves Rasslin podcast, D-Von addressed Ross’ recent claim that he’d only be willing to talk things out over lunch “if D-Von’s buying.” The WWE Hall of Famer didn’t appreciate the tone and came back with his own receipt.

“No one asked you to pay for it. If you want to do that, pay your bill, I’ll pay mine. Simple as that.”

D-Von reiterated that he’s still open to hashing things out in person—but not if it comes with condescending jabs or personal digs.

“Would I be willing to sit down and talk and iron this out? Absolutely.”

This update came after weeks of rising tension between the two legends. In late 2025, D-Von publicly named Ross as the WWE executive who made racially charged comments toward him during the Attitude Era—remarks that Ross flat-out denied on Grillin’ JR, calling the accusation “absurd” and suggesting D-Von was jealous of Bubba Ray Dudley’s post-wrestling success. That shot didn’t go unnoticed.

“You gonna try to get us to play against each other? No. Me and Bubba are very good. We are, you know, brothers from different mothers… I’m not turning on him, and he ain’t turning on me.”

D-Von admitted he had no intention of responding further after his initial comments went viral—but Ross’ remarks pushed him to speak again. He made it clear that this was never about attention or clout.

“I was going to leave this alone… But when you start making comments and making cheap shots, I got no other choice but to respond.”

“I could have been looking for publicity three or four years ago when I left WWE, and I never did. I never brought it up.”

And even with the recent heat, D-Von says he’s not here to drag things out or damage Ross’ legacy—he just wants honesty.

“I’m not mad at you, JR. I’m not gonna insult you or try to belittle you. I’m gonna take the high road and say, ‘Hey, I forgive you, and I’m moving on from it.’”

This feud continues to draw eyes across the wrestling world, but D-Von insists he’s not out for revenge. Instead, he’s seeking respect—and he’s standing firm on the price of that lunch.

What’s your take on D-Von’s offer to sit down and talk? Should Jim Ross meet him halfway—or is the damage already done? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
