D-Von Dudley isn’t backing down—and now he’s revealing how QT Marshall tried to walk back the firestorm with a private phone call that only poured gasoline on the situation.
After publicly blasting AEW and calling QT a “kiss-ass,” the WWE Hall of Famer says the damage control attempt fell flat—and he’s not buying a word of it. The fallout started when D-Von called out AEW for what he claimed was a string of disrespectful treatment—being flown in for appearances only to be ignored, never formally offered a producer job, and left to rot in arenas past midnight waiting for Tony Khan. He also ripped QT Marshall for allegedly spreading lies and treating him like a joke.
“Number one, you never asked me to be a producer or to produce a match. I never produced anything. The first time I showed up was in Orlando, and I was told by QT Marshall — who I can’t stand, and I don’t care if he knows it — kiss my ass, he can’t do sht about it.”*
While speaking on Duke LovesRasslin podcast, D-Von has dropped the next bomb—QT Marshall called him privately after hearing the episode, trying to explain that the situation was all a misunderstanding and that he was never trying to disrespect him.
“QT had called. He didn’t sell it to me and um yeah, he said he didn’t understand why I felt the way I felt and that somebody was giving me wrong information.”
D-Von wasn’t having it. He fired back, saying multiple people confirmed to him that QT was bad-mouthing him and that he’s choosing to believe them over QT’s last-minute backpedaling.
“I told him I didn’t believe that. I said, I believe that what they told me was the truth and there was more than one person that told me the things that they told me and they all can’t have the same story. Somebody’s lying. So if you take how many people that told me what he said and then him and he’s got his story stands with what he says, but all these other people are telling me different. I’m going to go with the other people.”
QT offered to talk face-to-face next time they’re in the same building, and D-Von made it clear that’s exactly what’s going to happen—but not with fists. He wants to look QT in the eye and read the truth himself.
“And he was like, you know, I would love to talk to you face to face, you know, and iron this out, he said. And I said, well, don’t worry. The next time I talk to you, we’ll be face to face. Not trying to insinuate violence or anything, but there’s no reason to go back and forth in text message or even on the phone talking about this. I’d rather see you lie and to your face and to see if you telling the truth by just looking at you.”
Despite the intensity, D-Von insists this isn’t about trying to get a job or being bitter about AEW. He says it’s about standing up for himself and setting the record straight.
“I’m not being bitter. I’m not being angry. Just don’t lie.”
From QT’s apology to D-Von’s absolute refusal to accept it, this feud doesn’t look like it’s going to cool off anytime soon. And if they do end up face-to-face, D-Von seems ready to settle it—just not in the ring.
