Dark Side of the Ring hasn’t been renewed just yet—but that’s not stopping the creators from getting a head start. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, pre-production is already underway for Season 7, with at least two potential episodes being developed right now.

During a recent Q&A, Johnson made it clear the showrunners are preparing for a seventh season even though Vice TV hasn’t officially signed off. “There’s no confirmation yet,” he said, “but discussions have started for a couple of topics in case they get the greenlight.” That means fans could have more jaw-dropping wrestling stories on the way sooner than expected.

Season 6 is currently airing and is set to wrap on May 13 with an episode focusing on the original Sheik. Other episodes this season have explored the stories of Eddie Gilbert, Tony Atlas, Mick Foley’s brutal Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker, and “Superstar” Billy Graham. And if past seasons are any indication, the producers have no shortage of controversial subjects to explore next.

Since its debut in 2019, Dark Side of the Ring has taken a deep dive into the darkest chapters of pro wrestling history. From murder and mayhem to betrayal and broken careers, the show hasn’t pulled any punches.
