Stephanie Vaquer made waves on the February 2, 2026 edition of WWE RAW—not just with her presence as Women’s World Champion, but with a noticeable change in presentation: her entrance theme music was replaced.
The switch didn’t go unnoticed, especially by Chris Egert, the musician who originally composed the track “Bury Me,” which served as Vaquer’s first theme in WWE. Egert took to Twitter/X shortly after the episode aired to share his thoughts and gratitude, despite the change.
“One of the most amazing highlights for me from 2025 was @Steph_Vaquer walking out to music I wrote, ‘Bury Me’. It was part of a few boutique music cues I wrote for my publisher when I was pursuing music full time in my band ‘In Virgo’. I’m an artist, not a stock music composer. I put a lot of soul and fire into that one and it fits her vibe so well.”
Egert’s reaction wasn’t bitter—it was heartfelt. He credited Vaquer for supporting his music behind the scenes and spoke highly of what it meant to be part of her rise in WWE.
“It was awesome watching La Primera’s ascent to becoming a legend, and me and my entire family are all huge fans. It was an honor to be a small part of it and I am eternally grateful to @Steph_Vaquer for fighting for my music – it was so validating and life changing for me as an artist.”
And with one final message, Egert left no doubt about who he still sees the song belonging to:
“In my mind, ‘Bury Me’ will always belong to you. We love you Stephanie!! 🤘🔥🔥”
Stephanie Vaquer’s entrance may have changed, but the impact of her original theme still hits. For fans and for Chris Egert, “Bury Me” captured something real—something that connected. No production tweak or new music can erase that.
