The September 19 edition of WWE SmackDown saw Brock Lesnar absolutely manhandle Corey Graves by hitting him with two nasty F5s. Fans were obviously worried about his well-being and now Michael Cole has provided an update on Graves’ condition.
While speaking during the WWE WrestlePalooza pre-show, Michael Cole gave an update on Corey Graves’ condition after Brock Lesnar’s attack. Cole said that Corey spent the night in the hospital but is now back home resting with his family. His neck is messed up, and while he’s trying to stay positive, there’s no word yet on when he will be able to return.
“I can tell you that I spoke with Corey earlier today. He spent the night in the hospital and he is now home resting with his family. His neck is screwed up, and he said he’s trying to keep good spirits, but we don’t know when Corey will be back.”
During Friday Night SmackDown, Brock Lesnar went berserk and tried to hurt Michael Cole. However, Corey Graves intervened and paid for it as he ate a massive F5. While it seemed like Lesnar was done, the Beast came back and hit another vicious F5 on Graves.
Graves was lying motionless while Michael Cole and others started checking on him. Of course, Graves has been medically cleared to take bumps for the past few years, so it was completely safe for Graves to get hit with the F5s.
With Corey Graves still recovering at home and no timeline for his return, many are waiting to see whether he’ll look for some revenge once he’s cleared to come back.
