Ryback is joined on today’s show by his co-host Pat Buck.
Buck mentions that former WWE Tough Enough competitor Matt Cappotelli has donated part of his brain tissue which was removed from surgery, in order to hopefully assist researchers in their study of brain trauma and brain deterioration. Cappotelli is suffering from brain cancer but is still thinking about ways that he can help others in the future, and Ryback says that’s Cappotelli in a nutshell.
Baron Corbin recently had heat backstage for getting into an argument with a doctor, who was apparently downplaying the effect of wrestling-related head trauma. Ryback says that this might be something that’s very near and dear to Corbin’s heart, since he’s involved in the current concussion lawsuit against the NFL. Ryback adds that for all we know, Corbin may have suffered multiple concussions in his career and was simply trying to defend something he’s very passionate about.
Buck mentions that WWE has announced an event under the Starrcade banner, and this event just so happens to be occurring on the same night, 30 minutes away from WrestleCade. Ryback will be main eventing the WrestleCade show against Jeff Jarrett. He says, “F*** Starrcade, come to WrestleCade”.
