AJ Styles made his triumphant return from injury during the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event this month and has since become a staple of Monday Night RAW. However, he hasn’t signed a new contract with WWE yet, and it seems people in the convention and merchandising world have been asking about his availability as his current contract expiry draws near.
While speaking on Fightful’s post-RAW show, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about the likelihood of AJ Styles re-signing with WWE if he hasn’t already. Sapp said he thinks there’s a pretty solid possibility, although he’s unsure about Styles’ motivations or priorities right now, saying, “I would say there’s a pretty solid possibility. I don’t know what his motivations or priorities are right now.”
Sapp also mentioned that people in the convention and merchandising scene had already inquired about the possibility of AJ Styles being available soon. He noted that by the time AJ got injured last year, his contract was only a matter of months away from expiring.
“As for whether he re-signs, I know that people in the convention scene, the merchandising scene—all that stuff—were definitely inquiring about the possibility of him being available soon. By the time he got injured, from what I understood, it was only a matter of months before his contract was up.”
In the meantime, AJ Styles began a feud with Bron Breakker during the February 17th edition of Monday Night RAW, which could culminate in a match at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.
Sean Ross Sapp previously reported that AJ Styles’ contract would be expiring in early 2025. Therefore, whether AJ Styles stays with WWE or explores other options, it’s clear he has already left a big impact on the company. Fans will continue to wonder what the future holds for him, as anything is possible in the world of professional wrestling.
