Comedian Bert Kreischer made an appearance during the April 7, 2025 episode of Monday Night RAW and after the show went off the air, he chokeslammed Austin Theory and he has now revealed that he wasn’t actually supposed to jump the barricade and do the spot.

While speaking on the Raw Recap show, Bert Kreischer was asked if it was true that Bert wasn’t supposed to jump over the barricade and that he just went with the moment and ended up in the ring, even though he was told not to.

Kreischer confirmed that’s exactly what happened and said that when he got to the show, he told Triple H he wanted to take a bump. Triple H told him no, saying he needed to go train for a week in Orlando first, like Bad Bunny did. Triple H didn’t want Bert getting hurt because he was 52 years old. Bert Kreischer told him he might still try it, but Triple H made it clear it wasn’t allowed.

“Yeah, I told Triple H when we got there, I told him, ‘Yo, I wanna take a bump.’ He was like, ‘You gotta come to Orlando for like a week. We did that with Bad Bunny. You gotta train. We can’t just put you in the ring, you’re gonna get hurt, you’re 52.’ I was like, ‘I think I’m gonna do it.’ He was like, ‘Yeah, it’s not gonna happen.’

During the show, Bert Kreischer said he had a good time and even did a bit with Otis. Earlier in the night, CM Punk had asked if Bert was doing anything, and Bert just said no. Towards the end of the show, Seth Rollins was out, and then Grayson Waller came and attacked CM Punk. Bert said he could tell things were off and Pat McAfee and the camera crew were already gone.

Then Austin Theory came out and started talking trash, calling Bert “fat boy” and asking what he was going to do. Kreischer was confused, but a bouncer told him to jump over the barricade and fight. Kreischer said he needed to ask Triple H first, but the bouncer told him to just go. So Bert jumped over and took off his belt, thinking he had to protect himself.

“So we do the whole show and it was great, we did the thing with Otis. I know CM Punk—I’d seen him earlier—he was like, ‘Are you doing something tonight?’ And I was like, ‘No.’ Then at the end it was Seth Rollins, and all of a sudden, Grayson Waller comes out and they slam Punk. And I’m watching CM Punk—I know Punk—and I was like, ‘Well, shit man, this isn’t how it’s supposed to be going.’ Pat McAfee’s gone, the camera crew’s gone.

Then Austin Theory comes out and he’s like, ‘What’s up, fat boy, what’re you gonna do?’ I was so confused. But one bouncer goes, ‘Jump over man, fight him.’ I was like, ‘Huh? I don’t think this is how it works. I gotta run it by Triple H.’ He was like, ‘No, fight him, get over.’”

Then CM Punk told him to get in the ring and while Bert was surprised, he did it. Punk asked if he could chokeslam Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. Bert wasn’t sure, but Punk helped him set it up, counted to three, and Bert pulled off the chokeslam.

“So I jumped over and I just pulled my belt off to defend myself. All of a sudden CM Punk is like, ‘Get in the ring.’ I was like, ‘Huh?’ So I get in the ring, and he was like, ‘Can you chokeslam him?’ I’m like, ‘I think so.’ He just put his throat in my hand and Punk goes, ‘1-2—boom.’

Bert Kreischer had an absolute blast and that’s why he came back during the May 26th edition of Monday Night Raw. Regardless, we’ll have to see if he will return again in the future and possibly take a proper bump as fans would love to see that happen.
