Colten Gunn is officially cleared to get back in the ring after being sidelined since the summer of 2025.

Gunn had been out of action after suffering a knee injury during an AEW Tag Team Title Eliminator tournament match. The injury happened when he landed awkwardly after throwing a lifting punch, immediately grabbing at his knee and forcing him out of competition. Now, it looks like his return could be coming soon.

During a virtual signing appearance with Signed by Superstars, Billy Gunn gave an update on his son’s status and confirmed that Colten has finally been cleared to compete again.

“He’s great. He just got cleared yesterday. So he’s good. Thank you for asking.”

Colten’s return could be a big boost for the Bang Bang Gang, which currently includes Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, and Ace Austin. The group has been operating without him while he recovered, and another key member, Jay White, has also remained off AEW television.

With medical clearance now confirmed, attention turns to when Colten Gunn will actually step back into an AEW ring and whether the Bang Bang Gang will soon be back at full strength.

Do you think Colten Gunn should jump right back into the tag team title scene when he returns, or should AEW ease him back into action first? Let us know your thoughts and leave your feedback in the comments.
