Cody Rhodes may be on a break from WWE, but he’s making headlines for something far more personal—his love life.

During the grand opening stream for Universal Studios’ Epic Universe on May 21, Cody and Brandi Rhodes got candid about their relationship, revealing that their third date took place at Halloween Horror Nights… and it turned out to be a turning point.

Brandi shared that Cody was the first person who ever wanted to go with her, after years of trying to find someone to brave the scares.

“No one had ever wanted to come with me,” she said. “And I’d been wanting to come for years and years and years and I couldn’t find a single person to go. And he says, ‘Hey, wild idea. Would you want to go to Halloween Horror Nights?’ So, I was like, ‘Yes, yes, absolutely.’”

Cody, poking fun at the story, joked about being a “sympathy” pick, but quickly turned sincere.

“This is the place—Universal and Halloween Horror Nights—that was where I knew that she was the one,” he said. “I don’t know if she wants to reveal that she knew I was the one, but that was our big day.”

He added that they still return year after year, calling Universal part of their story now. “To this day, we still make the trip every year multiple times. And to be able to be part of this… feels like we’re Universal family.”

While fans are still frustrated about Cody missing SmackDown in Greensboro last week despite being advertised, this sweet revelation offered a rare peek into the softer side of The American Nightmare.
