Cody Rhodes might be eyeing a new ring—and we’re not talking squared circle. The Undisputed WWE Champion could be the next major name from pro wrestling to punch a ticket to Hollywood.
During a recent appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast, Rhodes didn’t hold back when asked about taking the leap to the big screen. “I’d love to get out there, there’s some fun projects coming up,” Rhodes said. “I’d love to get out there and tell stories that way for sure and grow. I love pro wrestling, I always will.”
But Rhodes made it clear he’s got ambitions beyond the ropes. “To get out there, I love what Rock has done, I love what John has done, and Dave Batista as well,” he continued. “All of them have gone different routes when approaching Hollywood and I think I might be next to join the fray in all that.”
Cody’s already got a foot in the door. He recently filmed a role for the upcoming reboot of Naked Gun, and previously popped up alongside Stephen Amell on Arrow—a gig that showcased some real on-screen charisma.
With WWE’s crossover appeal growing stronger and names like The Rock, John Cena, and Batista already making noise in Hollywood, it sounds like Rhodes is seriously considering his next chapter. Whether it’s a full pivot or just a side hustle, the American Nightmare could be showing up on more movie sets in the near future.
