Cody Rhodes has now confessed that he nearly fell asleep during the WWE Hall of Fame.
While speaking to Casuals with Katie Nolan, Cody Rhodes said he feels like he loves wrestling more than anyone else in the world. But even with that love, things can still be really hard sometimes. He explained that the Hall of Fame shows can go very late, and there are times when he’s really nervous or even scared about what he has to do on live TV.
The American Nightmare noted that some nights are just tough. He added that even when his favorite wrestler is talking, and he’s sitting right there in the front row, he sometimes feels so tired that he’s close to falling asleep. For Rhodes, everything he’s feeling is real; the passion, the pressure, and the exhaustion that comes with wrestling.
“I love wrestling more than—I feel like I love wrestling more than anybody on the planet. Yeah. However, sometimes the Hall of Fame is late at night. Sometimes I’m scared to death of what I’m doing at TV. And I’m nervous, and sometimes it’s a hard night. Sometimes, even though my favorite wrestler is literally talking… Yeah. I’m almost about to fall asleep in the front row. Yeah. It’s real.”
This comes after Booker T was caught sleeping during this year’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony and got clowned for the same. Regardless, exhaustion is a very real thing and we do hope WWE ensures that the Hall of Fame ceremonies aren’t too long in the future.
