CM Punk has accomplished just about everything one would want in WWE, and that includes main eventing WrestleMania. However, Punk is now determined to main event the second night of a future WrestleMania just to prove to all his doubters he can do it.

During an Instagram live session, CM Punk was asked if he thinks he will ever main event WrestleMania again. Punk made it clear he does believe he can main event WrestleMania, stating that he has to main event Night Two just so that he can stick it to people who continue to move goal posts, saying, “Sure, I do. Gotta hit night two for all those people that move the goalposts.

CM Punk was in the main event of night one at WrestleMania 41, where he faced Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in a triple threat match. Rollins would ultimately win the match after Paul Heyman betrayed Punk and Reigns and aligned himself with The Visionary.

CM Punk previously revealed why main-eventing WrestleMania was so important to him. He said it’s mainly about money. Being in the main event means getting paid more, and he believes people who criticize him don’t really understand how wrestlers are paid.

“The reason why I was so obsessed with the main event of WrestleMania is pay scale. There isn’t a single person that can criticize me that can explain professional wrestling pay scale. If I’m in the main event, I get paid more money.”

Main-eventing Night Two of WrestleMania would be perfect for CM Punk’s legendary career, and he clearly won’t stop until he reaches that goal. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see if he gets the chance to headline Night Two next year.
