CM Punk is never one to let criticism slide—especially when it comes from a legend like Kevin Nash.
During a WWE Live Event in Fort Myers, Punk took a shot at the WWE Hall of Famer, responding to Nash’s criticism earlier in the week. Before his match with Bronson Reed, the Second City Saint dramatically teased taking off his shirt several times. When he finally did? There was another t-shirt underneath—a tongue-in-cheek move clearly aimed at Nash’s recent remarks.
This all stems from Nash’s takedown of Punk on a recent episode of Kliq This, where he criticized the World Heavyweight Champion’s performance during the December 22 edition of WWE RAW, especially for wrestling in a t-shirt.
“If you’re the Heavyweight Champion of the WWE and you wrestle in a t-shirt—ouch,” Nash said. “His punches looked really slow. He looks slow. I think it’s time for him. I think he’s done. I think Bron should beat him.”
It was vintage CM Punk—snarky, self-aware and unapologetic. Whether you think he’s slowing down or still at the top of his game, one thing’s clear: he’s not letting things slide.
With Punk set to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker on the first RAW of 2026, this kind of fire might be exactly what he needs to prove the doubters wrong, including Kevin Nash.
