CM Punk is making it clear — retirement isn’t coming anytime soon, no matter how much fans keep asking.
While speaking with SHAK Wrestling at the WWE 2K26 hands-on event, Punk discussed being featured prominently in the game’s showcase mode and how it represents the full scope of his career. The conversation naturally turned toward where he stands today, especially as he continues stacking major achievements late in his run.
That’s when Punk addressed the growing talk about whether the end of his career is getting close. He acknowledged that his career is moving into its later chapters, but quickly shut down any talk that he’s about to walk away.
“I think in showcase with CM Punk, it encompasses my entire career — the beginning and the middle, and we’re obviously creeping towards the end. Not anytime soon. Everybody stop asking me.”
That response shows Punk understands exactly where he is in his career timeline, but he’s clearly not ready to slow down yet. With major moments still stacking up and his name staying in the spotlight, he continues to operate like someone who still has more left to accomplish.
Fans have speculated for years about when Punk might step away from the ring, but comments like this make it clear he isn’t ready to close the door just yet.
