John Cena retained his Undisputed WWE World Title against Randy Orton in the chaotic main event of WWE Backlash 2025, but it looks like CM Punk has his sights set on the 17-time champion.

After the match, Punk took to Instagram Stories and posted a screenshot of Cena’s post-match moment, with the caption “For now,” hinting that Cena’s reign might not last much longer.

The intense Backlash main event saw Orton and Cena battle it out in a brutal encounter that included multiple RKOs, Attitude Adjustments, and even a table spot that had Orton calling it a “stupid fcking table.”* Despite Orton’s best efforts, Cena managed to retain his title after delivering a low blow and a belt shot before pinning Orton for the win.

Cena wasn’t done after the bell, either. He grabbed a mic and told the Saint Louis crowd, “Drink it in, because this is what the last real champion looks like.” Cena’s arrogant speech only added fuel to the fire as the crowd showered him with boos.
