WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk has Hollywood ambitions—and they might just include teaming up with his biggest wrestling rivals on the big screen.

John Cena officially retired from in-ring competition on December 13, losing his final match to Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C. With Cena fully focused on his acting career, fans have started to wonder whether his former opponent Punk might eventually share the screen with him.

Punk recently appeared on My Mom’s Basement with Robbie Fox to promote his new vampire flick Night Patrol. When asked about possibly doing a movie with John Cena now that he’s retired, Punk didn’t hesitate to drop some big names—and reveal that the wheels may already be in motion.

“I think so. Yeah, I've had a couple meetings and that topic has come up. I can only imagine what John's slate looks like—it's probably super, super busy. I'd imagine sometime in the future we'll be working together. I've got like bucket list names that I want to work with. And selfishly, a lot of them are my friends. Dave and John are probably like the top two.”

It’s a dream lineup: Punk, Cena, and Bautista—three wrestling legends who’ve each carved out a post-WWE path in Hollywood. Bautista has been praised for his dramatic work in Blade Runner 2049 and Knock at the Cabin, while Cena found mainstream success in The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. Punk is still early in his acting journey, but with Night Patrol dropping soon, the timing couldn’t be better.

Whether it’s action, horror, or even a dark superhero movie, the idea of seeing all three stars in one film doesn’t sound far-fetched anymore. It’s something Punk is clearly down for—and fans will no doubt be watching closely to see if it becomes a reality.\
