CM Punk isn’t pretending to be caught off guard by Roman Reigns’ decision to face him in the main event of WrestleMania 42—in fact, he’s taking credit for it.

Appearing on Up & Adams with Kay Adams, Punk addressed Reigns’ choice following the Tribal Chief’s Royal Rumble win. And true to form, Punk didn’t hold back when it came to calling his shot.

“It’s exactly what I wanted. I feel like I played the little Samoan like a fiddle and got exactly what I wanted out of it.”

With Punk now holding the WWE Undisputed Championship and Reigns looking to reclaim dominance, the story has essentially written itself. But Punk made it clear this wasn’t just about titles—it’s personal, and he intends to come out on top.

“I’m the champ. Everybody is chasing me. He made the right decision.”

And if you thought this match would be all respect and no venom, think again. Punk summed it up in the most CM Punk way possible:

“The lore is, we’re two top guys in the industry, so it’s going to be a dick measuring contest.”

That’s about as on-brand as it gets. These two have history going back to The Shield days, and now they’re set to collide on the biggest stage of all—WrestleMania 42. Punk’s mind games are in full effect, and Reigns just might’ve walked into them.
