CM Punk’s WWE future just took another unexpected twist as Seth Rollins has officially replaced him in the promotional video for Night of Champions.

According to a video Ringside News obtained, the latest version of the Night of Champions ad, which first aired during Backlash, now features Rollins in the spot Punk previously occupied — a significant change that has fans speculating about what’s really going on behind the scenes.

Punk’s potential involvement in the Saudi Arabia event has been a hot topic in recent weeks, especially given his outspoken criticism of WWE’s controversial shows in the country. In 2020, Punk made waves with a scathing remark aimed at The Miz, saying, “Go suck a blood money covered d** in Saudi Arabia you f******* dork.”*

Now, just weeks after being advertised for the June 28 event, Punk has been quietly pulled from the promo and replaced by Rollins. This update comes after it was reported that while the card was “subject to change, he “would certainly believe” Punk would be part of the event.

Punk recently addressed his stance on Saudi Arabia during an Instagram Live session, claiming he never had an issue with working the show. “I’ve never been to Saudi, I don’t hate coming to Saudi,” Punk said, a significant departure from his previous statements.

With Rollins now positioned in the promo and Punk removed, it raises questions about whether Punk’s past comments finally caught up with him or if WWE is simply reconfiguring the card. Punk’s replacement by Rollins could indicate a change in creative plans, but as of now, WWE has not officially confirmed Punk’s status for the event.

Will CM Punk still make the trip to Saudi Arabia for Night of Champions, or has WWE decided to pull the plug? Stay tuned for further updates as the story develops.
