CM Punk had a very negative reputation in AEW and even after he came back to WWE, many people believed it was a matter of time before issues cropped up. However, Punk’s been a model employee and has now mocked people who claimed he was going to crash out in WWE.
While speaking during an ESPN panel for Wrestlepalooza, CM Punk mocked people who predicted he was going to crash out when he returned to WWE two years ago. Punk joked he was going to crash out any minute now and told them to keep on watching him.
“Two years. I mean, two years in November, right? Yeah. Survivor Series. I’m going to crash out at any time, guys. Don’t worry. Keep watching. Any minute now. Today could be the day.”
This comes after the director of WWE Unreal, who made it clear CM Punk was nothing like his negative reputation online, since the director really had a very good time working with him.
With Wrestlepalooza coming up and CM Punk teaming with AJ Lee against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, his momentum is only growing. So while people are still going to hate on him, the Second City Saint couldn’t care less and is solely focused on making himself better and that’s all that matters in the end.
