CM Punk just dropped a rare, never-before-seen photo on Instagram—and it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.
The image shows Punk, John Cena, and Cody Rhodes all holding WWE championships, and fans instantly recognized the weight of the moment. But what made it hit even harder was the emotional caption Punk attached.
The post came just days after Cena captured the Intercontinental Championship—finally becoming a Grand Slam Champion. Punk didn’t just congratulate him. He gave him a tribute that instantly brought back over a decade of memories, rivalries, and milestones between the two.

The photo itself appears to be backstage taken after Cena defeated Dominik Mysterio to win the IC Title. Cena stood in the middle holding his new gold, Punk with the World Heavyweight Title, and Cody Rhodes with the Undisputed WWE Championship.
