CJ Perry is getting real about her ongoing IVF journey—and she’s not holding anything back. In a powerful and deeply personal moment on her Identity Crisis podcast, Perry shared the full story behind the headlines that recently claimed she was “hospitalized.”
The former WWE star clarified that reports of her being hospitalized were blown out of proportion. “It’s definitely been a journey. IVF is a journey,” she said, shutting down speculation that something was wrong. It turns out the hospitalization was just part of her treatment—not an emergency.
Perry then broke down the emotional rollercoaster she and husband Miro have been riding as they work to start a family. Their IVF process officially began in July 2025, and it hasn’t been easy.
“We got nine embryos the first time… from that, seven blastocysts… and from the seven, we got one good, genetically good embryo,” she explained.
In October 2025, they did a second round. This time: three embryos, two blastocysts, and one more viable embryo. That brings their current total to two genetically healthy embryos—and they’re preparing for a third round of IVF before attempting a transfer.
“The doctor told us for every baby, you should have at least two good embryos. So we’re doing another round of IVF and then from there, we’re probably going to try for transfer,” CJ revealed.
She described how surreal it feels to witness every stage of fertilization and development unfold in real time, something most couples never get to experience during natural conception. While Perry is open to carrying the baby herself, she’s also looking into surrogacy—but the cost is no joke.
“You literally see everything go in real time. This is usually happening in your body and you just don’t know,” she said.
“I definitely want to try to carry… but having a surrogate is like 0,000.”
As for the embryo gender? She knows—but she’s not sharing with the world just yet.
“Well, we can’t say right now… Miro told me not to tell him and I couldn’t withhold myself and I told him.”
Throughout the discussion, Miro expressed admiration for what women go through in IVF and pregnancy, saying he’s constantly learning from CJ’s strength. This was more than just an update—it was a raw, inspiring look at the real-life challenges behind starting a family. IVF isn’t always talked about in wrestling circles, but CJ Perry is using her platform to bring that conversation into the light.
