Christopher Daniels will be officially stepping away from in-ring competition after a legendary career that spanned decades.
According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, Daniels’ loss to Hangman Page in a Texas Death Match at this week’s AEW Collision tapings was planned as his final match, marking the end of an incredible journey in professional wrestling.
Sources revealed that Daniels had been looking to wrap up his in-ring career for quite some time, and now, it appears that moment has arrived. With a résumé that includes AEW, NJPW, ROH, TNA, WWE, ECW, AAA, NWA, AJPW, NOAH, ZERO1, MLW, and CMLL, there aren’t many promotions he didn’t leave his mark on.
Daniels built a reputation as one of the most respected veterans in the industry, delivering classics across multiple generations. While he hasn’t made an official statement on his retirement yet, all signs point to this being the final chapter of his in-ring career.
After a run that saw him work everywhere from the biggest promotions in the world to the most respected indie circuits, Daniels’ legacy is undeniable. If this was truly his last match, it was a fitting end to a career filled with unforgettable moments.
