You can officially rule out any shocking Christian Cage appearance at AEW Worlds End. Despite speculation surrounding surprise returns at the pay-per-view, it turns out the former TNT Champion isn’t even in the building—he’s not even in the same state.

According to a WrestleVotes, Christian Cage is spending the night in Bridgeport, Connecticut… at a hockey game.

That effectively shuts down any theories that Cage will show up to continue his storyline with FTR after the dramatic ending to All Out 2025. Cage and Copeland had reunited earlier this year to take on FTR in a huge tag match that also featured Beth Phoenix and a surprise appearance from Trailer Park Boys’ Bubbles.

After that match, FTR shockingly tombstoned Beth Phoenix while Copeland was handcuffed to the ropes, setting up a heated storyline—but it looks like it won’t continue at Worlds End.

With Christian confirmed to be off-site, fans looking for a Cope & Cage follow-up will have to wait. And with Adam Copeland also not advertised for the card, that angle seems to be on ice—for now.

AEW Worlds End still has a stacked card tonight, including Samoa Joe defending the AEW World Championship in a four-way match against MJF, “Hangman” Adam Page, and Swerve Strickland, plus a loaded Continental Classic finale, tag title fights, and much more.
