Chris Pratt just gave his stamp of approval to his buddy—and rising pro wrestling star—Paul Walter Hauser.
Ahead of Hauser’s big PROGRESS Wrestling debut on April 17, the Hollywood A-lister sent in a personal video message hyping up his friend’s performance and journey in the squared circle. “Paul Walter Hauser is absolutely killing it,” Pratt said, proudly praising the actor-turned-wrestler’s rapid growth in the sport. “I’m so excited to watch him step into that PROGRESS Wrestling ring and do what he’s been doing all year—tear it up.”
Hauser will challenge for the PROGRESS Proteus Championship in a five-way scramble match that includes Adam Priest, Effy, Simon Miller, and Charles Crowley. It’s a stacked lineup for the Thursday night event—and one that’s now drawing even more attention thanks to Pratt’s endorsement.
Fans know Hauser from roles in Cobra Kai, Richard Jewell, and countless other film and TV projects—but in 2025, he’s been making a different kind of noise. He’s already competed in MLW, DEFY Wrestling, ACTION Wrestling, and Wrestling REVOLVER, proving he’s not just playing wrestler—he’s putting in the work.
PROGRESS Wrestling posted Pratt’s video to social media as part of their push for the event, and fans immediately took notice. With support from Marvel’s Star-Lord himself, the spotlight is burning a little brighter on Hauser heading into his next match.
