WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has officially thrown his support behind the idea of Chris Jericho finishing his career where it all truly began—inside a WWE ring.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker didn’t mince words about the swirling rumors of Jericho’s possible WWE return, saying it only makes sense for the former Undisputed Champion to close the final chapter of his career with the company he helped define for decades.

“Hey man, it’s only fitting, you know, for Chris to end his career in the WWE,” Booker said. “I’m sure he would be able to write his own ticket this time around. As far as, man, I got this many dates. We could squeeze me in here, whatnot. You know, he xN get paid this amount of mone, and then go in the Hall of Fame and wrap this thing.”

Booker also drew parallels between Jericho’s current situation and his own path back to WWE after a stint in TNA. Without naming AEW directly, Booker acknowledged Jericho’s time there but emphasized the importance of finishing strong on WWE’s turf.

“I don’t want to say anything negative about AEW or anything.I don’t even want to mention AEW because somebody will write it in a certain aspect but he went over to AEW and you know. he did what he did over there and to be able to come back… and just like me when I went to TNA.”

The rumors gained traction after WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce referenced Jericho’s iconic “break the walls down” catchphrase in a promo teasing this week’s episode. But Jericho didn’t show up—disappointing fans who thought the tease was more than just a nod.

According to reports, Jericho was in Los Angeles on Monday and hasn’t been factored into WWE’s recent creative meetings. He remains listed on AEW’s roster page, although his contract reportedly expired at the end of 2025. Jericho hasn’t been seen in AEW since April 2025, when he stepped away following backlash from fans and a storyline betrayal of Big Bill and Bryan Keith.

With the 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on the horizon, speculation is heating up that WWE could be keeping a surprise Jericho return under wraps—possibly as a shock entrant in the 30-man match.

—Chris Jericho’s legacy spans multiple generations and promotions, but Booker T believes there’s only one place where it should all end: under the WWE spotlight. If Jericho does return at Royal Rumble, it could be the beginning of his final run—and one worthy of Hall of Fame gold.
