Chris Jericho may be a founding pillar of AEW, but right now, he’s not part of the picture—at all.
According to a new Fightful Select report, Jericho isn’t just absent from AEW programming—he’s not even being discussed in creative meetings.
“When we’ve asked about Chris Jericho within the company, we’ve been told that he hasn’t come up when discussing ongoing plans,” Fightful reported. “Jericho usually discusses his creative directly with Tony Khan.”
That silence is striking for a guy who helped launch the company and served as its first World Champion. While Jericho has kept a low profile since losing the ROH World Title to Bandido at AEW Dynasty back in April, many assumed he’d be involved in some capacity for AEW Worlds End on December 27. Instead, he’s reviving his YouTube show The Winnipeggers for a 9 PM ET broadcast—right in the middle of AEW’s PPV.
This development comes as speculation intensifies about a possible WWE return in 2026, but for now, Jericho seems entirely detached from AEW’s ongoing direction.
What do you think it means that Chris Jericho isn’t even being discussed backstage in AEW? Is this the beginning of the end of his run with the company—or just a break before a reset? Drop your thoughts below—we want your take.
