While fans continue speculating about a surprise return at Royal Rumble 2026, Chris Jericho just revealed what he’s actually been up to—and it technically involves a pro wrestling ring.
On January 31, 2026, Jericho took to Instagram and revealed that he’s part of the upcoming Apple TV series Margo’s Got Money Troubles, starring Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning and Nick Offerman. The show, based on the acclaimed novel of the same name, blends themes of pro wrestling, OnlyFans, and family struggles, with Jericho appearing in a wrestling-focused role.
“Excited to share a preview 📸 of my upcoming role in the new series, ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’ on @appletv! Had a blast filming with the legendary Nicole Kidman & the hilarious @nickofferman, who headline an ALL-STAR CAST in the adaptation of the acclaimed novel about pro wrestling, OnlyFans & Margo (played by the amazing @ellefanning) getting creative with making money & raising a family. Premiers on April 15th on #AppleTV 📺”
This comes after major speculation about Jericho’s wrestling future. His AEW contract reportedly expired on December 31, 2025, and many had pegged him as a possible surprise entrant in the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. But between his filming schedule and Fozzy’s Eyes On You tour kicking off in February, Jericho’s calendar looks far too packed for a full-time wrestling return anytime soon.
Still, the fact that he’s portraying a wrestler in a major series suggests Jericho isn’t finished with the squared circle—he’s just telling the story from a new angle.
