You can now add Chris Jericho to the growing list of wrestling legends paying tribute to John Cena.
Le Champion took to his Instagram Story and uploaded a throwback photo of himself standing alongside Cena during their early WWE careers. The caption kept it short but full of respect: “Congrats Champ… we salute you!”
Jericho and Cena have shared a long history of matches and big moments inside the ring, including WWE title matches, epic storylines, and main events throughout the 2000s. The tribute just proves that some rivalries go far beyond company lines.
Jericho’s post follows an earlier tribute from Adam Copeland, who used humor and nostalgia by using South Park and Muppet-style images of himself and Cena. On the other hand, the Undertaker wrote a very detailed and emotional tribute for Cena.
Cena is set to face GUNTHER tonight at Saturday Night’s Main Event in front of a sold-out crowd at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. It marks the official end of one of WWE’s most iconic careers, with excitement at an all-time high.
Jericho’s message adds another big name honoring Cena’s two-decade run—reminding fans just how much Cena meant to the locker room, the business, and the eras he helped define.
