Chris Bey isn’t rushing back into the ring—but he’s not closing the door either.

The TNA Wrestling star suffered a serious neck injury during tag team match tapings the night after Bound for Glory on October 27 of last year. Since then, he’s kept a low profile, and fans have been left wondering if they’d ever see him wrestle again. Now, Bey is finally opening up about his future—and it’s all about listening to his body.

During an appearance on Talk Is Jericho, Bey explained that his top priority isn’t returning to TV or chasing titles. It’s about healing physically and mentally.

“Everyone asks me what I’m focused on or what my goal is right now — I just want to wake up and feel good. I want to wake up and feel okay. That’s my main goal.”

At one point, Bey thought his in-ring career was already over. The post-surgery reality hit hard, and he was ready to accept that his days in wrestling were behind him.

“After the surgery, I thought I’d never wrestle again, and I was fine with that. But now I think maybe one day I’ll be able to do it again, just not anytime soon.”

Bey isn’t interested in making a full-time return. What matters most to him now is writing his own ending—on his own terms. Whether that means a final match or one last program, he’s not chasing one last run—he’s chasing closure.

“When I think about wrestling, it’s not really about coming back full-time. It’s more about finishing my story my way. Whether that means one more match or one more program, I’d like to end it right.”

Bey reflected on his last major moments in the business and made it clear he walked away proud of what he accomplished.

“Honestly, I went out on top — I main evented Bound for Glory, then the next night too. I went out on top.”

For now, he’s focused on his health and hinted that starting a family is part of the long-term plan.

“I want to focus on feeling good and, eventually, on having a family — not now, but one day. That’s something I want to work toward.”

Chris Bey doesn’t owe the wrestling world a comeback. He’s already cemented his legacy in TNA history. But if he chooses to return for one more ride, it’s going to be on his terms—and that’s exactly how it should be.
