Chelsea Green’s ankle injury may not be as long-term as initially feared.
After revealing earlier this month that she had suffered a broken ankle — complete with X-ray photos and her trademark “Chelsea Chronicle” flair — concerns quickly grew about how long she’d be sidelined. But now, Green herself has provided a much more optimistic update.
During a conversation with Denise Salcedo, the topic shifted from Green’s current obsessions — including her hair journey and vitamins — back to wrestling and her physical recovery. Salcedo asked her directly:
“How are you feeling, by the way? I know with the injury and everything. How are you feeling?”
Green didn’t hesitate to give a detailed answer — and it sounds like progress is moving quickly.
“Um, I'm healing up much faster than I thought I would be. I'm out of the boot, but only for the fashion.”
That revelation alone is a big development. Green had previously been seen wearing a walking boot after chipping her ankle on SmackDown. However, she quickly clarified that while she may be ditching the boot for style points, medically speaking, she’s not completely cleared to go full throttle yet.
“I should not be out of the boot.”
Green then explained the exact nature of the injury and why she feels fortunate given the circumstances.
“Um, I chipped my ankle, the side of it. So, it's painful, but I feel like I got lucky. Like, in terms of a broken ankle, I feel like I got very very very lucky. Thank gosh.”
That’s a noticeably different tone from the initial fear surrounding the word “broken.” When Salcedo mentioned hoping she wouldn’t be out for too long, Green immediately reassured fans.
“No, no, no, I won't be.”
Between reports previously noting she was mobile in a walking boot at the WWE 2K26 event and now Green confirming she’s already out of it — at least partially — the recovery timeline appears far more encouraging than many first assumed.
There’s still no official return date, but based on her own words, Chelsea Green doesn’t plan on being gone long.
