Chelsea Green isn’t drawing many lines when it comes to what she’s willing to do on WWE TV — and she’s fully aware that mindset could come back to haunt her.
Speaking to 93.7 The Fan, Green was asked if there’s anything she wouldn’t do for a storyline. While she admitted there probably should be a limit somewhere, she made it clear that right now, she’s all-in on whatever opportunities come her way.
“Okay, I was just asked that question. I said no, but I feel like that’s setting myself up for absolute disaster. Do you know what I mean? There’s got to be something I’ll say no to. But at this point, like I said — if the check clears, I’m doing it.”
Green didn’t hesitate to lean into the extremes either, pointing out that she’s already been part of some pretty out-there moments — and she’s not exactly looking to tone it down. She even looked back at one of her most over-the-top storylines, admitting it still stands out as the wildest thing she’s done in her career.
“You’re going to put me in a dumpster? Say less. Pour salsa on my head? Say less. I’ve done so many ridiculous things. And the crazy thing is, I think the most ridiculous was when I was the drunk bride, the jilted bride in TNA in 2016–17. And I was single then, boys — that was real cringe. I don’t think it gets any worse than that.”
From her perspective, the approach is simple — treat WWE like any major acting role and commit fully, no matter what’s required: “So at this point, I’m like, I’ll do anything. If I was an actress in Hollywood and you gave me a role that said do X, Y, and Z, I’m doing it. So why would I treat WWE any different?”
And according to Green, that mindset has already paid off. She explained that being willing to say yes — especially when others don’t — has opened doors and kept her constantly in the mix.
“And guess what — the people who say no, I get those opportunities. I love that for me. That’s why last year I did more appearances than anyone else in the company. Because people, especially after COVID, want to stay home. Don’t get me wrong, I love my couch, I love being at home. But if you’re going to say no, I’m going to say yes.”
Chelsea Green’s approach might be risky, but it’s clearly working for her — and if her track record is anything to go by, she’s not planning to change it anytime soon.
Do you think Chelsea Green’s “say yes to everything” mindset is the right way to succeed in WWE, or should there be limits on what talent agrees to do? Drop your thoughts below and let us know.
