Chelsea Green isn’t afraid to keep it real when it comes to her fans—and after a recent awkward moment involving AJ Lee at a meet-and-greet went viral, she offered her take on how fans should act during real-world interactions.

Speaking during an interview on Unlikely, Chelsea was asked directly about fan behavior and how she handles those situations herself. While she was careful not to single out AJ Lee’s situation in detail, Chelsea used the opportunity to explain her philosophy about boundaries, energy, and mutual respect.

Green admitted that while she’s thankful for her supporters, she’s also human—and some days are tougher than others. Especially in random spots like airports at 5 a.m., things can get tricky. But she never wants people to feel afraid to come up to her.

“Yeah, but I think that that it ebbs and it flows because, you know, sometimes at 5:00 a.m. at the airport, like, I don’t want to be bothered. And I hate to say that because fans really make up—like, fans are the reason why I’m here. There are times when I’m grumpy, I’m tired, I’m hangry, and then there are other times when I’m having the best day ever and you could bug me anywhere. I think it’s just—it’s reading the room and it’s asking respectfully. And if they say no, no is no. You know? No is no. But for me personally, I never want anyone to feel like they can’t come up and ask me. I just want you to know that if I say no, it’s for a reason. But yeah, don’t be afraid to ask me, you know? But that’s me. That’s me.”

Her comments speak directly to the balance that public figures in wrestling often deal with—constantly interacting with the people who support them while still needing moments of peace, especially during hectic travel or off-hours.

Chelsea’s approach is clear: ask kindly, respect personal space, and don’t take it personally if the timing isn’t right. Simple, but effective.
