Chelsea Green is reopening the Fairmont Hotel controversy — and this time, she’s making one thing crystal clear: she wasn’t alone.
Back in 2024, Green went public with claims that she was profiled as an escort at the Fairmont Plaza Hotel in New York City after being denied entry to the bar. The hotel later issued an apology, but the situation has continued to follow her.
Now, in a new interview on A Shot Of Brandi, Green revealed that Maxxine Dupri was with her that night — and experienced the exact same treatment.
“I walked in the front door. Keep in mind, like I have gone to this hotel with my dad, you know what I mean? Like whenever we’re in New York, like we go and like have a little drink or whatever. Cute little vibe, and I was with Maxxine (Dupri). So we go in, (did Maxxine get kicked out too?) Yes, but she’s so like sweet that she never spoke up about it. So just know that everything that happened to me also happened to Maxxine.”
Green went on to describe how the situation unfolded inside the lobby bar area, explaining that security stopped them without warning.
“So we go in, we walk up to the bar, which is like right in the lobby. Like we walk up to the entrance of the bar. The bouncers are standing on either side. They don’t say anything. Like we walk in, we walk through and then they go, ‘Hey, hey, hey, hey, you!’ I’m like, ‘oh’, and we like turn around and we’re like, ‘yes?’ They’re like, ‘where do you think you’re going,’ and we’re like ‘going to the bar for a drink?’ and they’re like you’re not allowed in here and I’m like ‘what? What do you mean?’ I didn’t know what was going on and they were like, ‘only guests of the hotel are allowed’ and I’m like okay, like I’ve done this before but okay and they’re like being so rude and literally Maxxine is like, ‘I don’t understand, like I don’t understand why you’re being so rude,’ and I’m like trying to figure out what’s going on.”
According to Green, a hotel guest eventually stepped in and offered to vouch for them — but she says the damage had already been done.
“Then a hotel guest comes through and sees that this is happening and says to the bouncer, it’s like, ‘no, they’re fine. They can come and have a drink at the bar. I’ll let them in. I’m staying.’ So then he really thinks we’re escorts, but he already- it was so obvious. He already thought that just the way he was treating us before. He goes like- ‘I know what you guys are doing here’ Like all that stuff. Like it was so presumptuous, and the fact that there’s no way that they would tell a hotel guest, that a hotel guest cannot bring a guest in.”
Green initially detailed the situation on social media in April 2024, sparking backlash and leading to a public apology from the hotel. But with this latest update, she’s making sure fans understand that Dupri was equally impacted — even if she chose not to speak out at the time.
