Chelsea Green is taking credit for changing WWE video game history — and she’s not being shy about it.
During a conversation with Unruly at WWE 2K Creator Fest inside WWE headquarters, Green was asked about her impact on the WWE 2K franchise after a women’s dumpster match was officially added to the game for the first time. The interviewer pointed out that very few WWE Superstars can say they altered the structure of a video game. Chelsea immediately made it clear she sees this as a milestone moment.
When asked about her reaction to learning her dumpster match was the first-ever women’s version included in the game, Green didn’t hold back.
“I was like about damn time 2K honestly. When I found out that my dumpster match was the first women's dumpster match I was like wow, like her story, yes wow. No, I love that. That was a slay. And then for 2K to involve it I'm like okay, so I have made a difference. So all you gamers out there, you have me to thank for the dumpster match.”
The comment wasn’t just playful arrogance. Green framed the addition as something bigger than a new feature. Dumpster matches have existed in WWE games for years, but this marks the first time a women’s version has been included — a move that continues WWE’s push toward equal representation across match types.
Chelsea Green has built her WWE return around personality, chaos, and calculated self-promotion. Now she can add “video game history maker” to that list.
If more classic match types are added for the women’s division in future WWE 2K games, should Chelsea get even more credit — or is there another Superstar you think paved the way? Drop your thoughts below and let us know.
