Chelsea Green is finally addressing the fallout from the Michael Hayes controversy — and according to her, the situation has already been resolved behind the scenes.

Green revealed during the Nikki & Brie Show on March 9, 2026 that Hayes has apologized to her following the backlash over comments featured on WWE Unreal. The WWE star explained that the two have already spoken privately and moved past the situation. Green admitted she understands where she stands within the WWE women’s division, especially when it comes to fan favorites.

“Look, I know people always say, ‘Oh my God, you’re so funny, that’s hilarious.’ But there are always the same women who end up being everyone’s favorite wrestlers. Rhea Ripley is always going to be everyone’s favorite. Stephanie Vaquer will probably be everyone’s favorite too, and I’m used to that. I’ll support them and cheer them on.”

However, Green said hearing support from The Undertaker during the discussion meant a lot to her personally. According to Green, Undertaker has been supportive of her long before the Netflix controversy happened.

“But hearing The Undertaker say my name and stick up for little old me, and say it with that much conviction, meant a lot. He had even told me the same thing in a text. I feel like he really went out of his way to show how he felt.”

Chelsea Green then confirmed that Michael Hayes has already reached out to smooth things over following the backlash: “Everyone got so upset about what Michael Hayes said about me. Was he putting me down? Was he putting a ceiling on me? Yes. Michael Hayes has already apologized to me, and we talked about it.”

The former Women’s United States Champion also revealed that Undertaker has been in her corner for a long time, even pointing to a past moment when he supported her career directly, as he booked her to win the AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles.

“But I know Undertaker has had my back for a long time. He even booked me to win the AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles, so he believed in me long before Michael Hayes made those comments.”

The comments come after Hayes recently defended his remarks on the Six Feet Under podcast, claiming parts of his original praise for Green were edited out of the WWE Unreal series. With Hayes now apologizing and Green confirming the two have moved on, the situation appears to have cooled down — even if the conversation around her role in WWE continues.

What do you think about Chelsea Green’s response — did Michael Hayes’ comments get blown out of proportion, or was the criticism fair? Let us know your thoughts.
