The January 31 episode of WWE SmackDown went down in the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is the day before the 2025 Royal Rumble takes over Lucas Oil Stadium, and they had quite a show in store for fans.

Chelsea Green has been having quite a good time as the first-ever Women’s United States Champion. This week on SmackDown, she put her title on the line once again against Michin.

The former Mia Yim has been after Green for a while, as the two have battled for the title before. This week on SmackDown, the former Hot Mess from TNA is hoping to put away the woman who once went as Jade in TNA.

This match went down about 45 minutes into the first hour of the show. Chelsea Green has only held her title for 45 days now, and she was having an amazing time. Piper Niven also led her to the ring, looking like a Secret Service officer.

Michin and Chelsea Green battled around the ring, but neither of them could secure a pinfall. Green slowed Michin down as much as she could, but the former Retribution member’s tenacity kept her in the contest.

They continued the back-and-forth match, and Michin was able to nail and Eat Dafeet, but Piper Niven pulled Green out of the ring. B-Fab stopped her from helping Green, and then Michin threw her back in the ring. In the end, Chelsea Green grabbed a kendo stick at the timekeeper’s area, and the referee called for the bell.

This match ended with Michin pulling off the win, but it was via DQ. That means Chelsea Green will keep her title. That didn’t stop Michin from laying in a few kendo stick shots on Green for good measure.

We will have to see what’s next for those two, but we probably haven’t seen the last of Michin vs Chelsea Green in WWE. This week certainly didn’t have the cleanest resolution.
