Chelsea Green isn’t letting a broken nose slow her down—but she may be showing up with a brand-new accessory on WWE television.
After suffering the injury during her match with Zelina Vega at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Green is now expected to continue her run on TV with a protective face mask.
The injury occurred after Vega attempted a 619 and caught Green flush in the face. Green bled during the match and took a top rope Code Red for the loss. But the real story unfolded backstage.
According to sources, Green didn’t waste time sulking. Instead, she immediately filmed content for WWE and leaned into the moment. WWE staff praised her upbeat attitude and noted she “milked the injury” for social media—earning her points with company brass.
One backstage source revealed via Fightful Select: “Green lost the match, broke her nose… and promptly went backstage to film content for WWE.”
Doctors later confirmed a clean break, and while she won’t miss any TV time, she will likely wear a face mask going forward to protect the injury. This isn’t Green’s first experience with a broken nose, but it could mark the start of a new look that plays perfectly into her over-the-top character.
Dave Meltzer added in the Wrestling Observer Daily Update: “Chelsea Green suffered a broken nose from the 619 by Zelina Vega. I don’t expect her off TV at all. It was a clean break.”
Green’s resilience and quick pivot to capitalize on her injury backstage earned her some serious respect—and fans might see that play out with a storyline-enhancing mask in the coming weeks.
