Chelsea Green is fully embracing her injury storyline, but if you ask her directly—she’ll say there’s nothing wrong at all.
On May 31, Green responded to a tweet from Rasslin asking if her nose was still broken after her match with Zelina Vega. In classic Chelsea fashion, she fired back with a completely in-character denial.
“NO WHATRE TOU TALKING ABOUR IT WAS NEVER BROKEN” she wrote.
The tweet, complete with a typo and all-caps chaos, was exactly the kind of unbothered defiance fans expect from Green. But despite the denial, the evidence is plain: her nose was broken, and she’s turning it into a storyline.
The injury happened during a match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where Green took a flush 619 from Zelina Vega and a top-rope Code Red for the loss. Bloodied and bruised, Green didn’t retreat—she hit the backstage area and immediately began filming content. According to Fightful Select, WWE officials took notice, with one saying, “Green lost the match, broke her nose… and promptly went backstage to film content for WWE.”
On the May 30 episode of SmackDown, Green reappeared wearing a rhinestone-studded half-face mask in red, yellow, and green—a cross between Lucha Libre and fashion week. Accompanied by her suited entourage and decked out in a hot pink dress, she stormed into GM Nick Aldis’ office and demanded Zelina Vega be stripped of her title.
Aldis didn’t buy into the drama. He looked at her and quipped, “You’re finally getting ugly,” before announcing Alba Fyre as Vega’s next challenger and dismissing Green entirely.
Meanwhile, Dave Meltzer confirmed in the Wrestling Observer Daily Update that the injury was indeed legit, noting, “Chelsea Green suffered a broken nose from the 619 by Zelina Vega. I don’t expect her off TV at all. It was a clean break.”
So while Green may be tweeting in all caps that her nose was never broken, the mask, the blood, and multiple sources say otherwise. And with Chelsea Green, that’s exactly the point—deny the obvious, turn pain into performance, and keep the spotlight right where she wants it.
Is Chelsea Green trolling us all perfectly—or should she just admit the obvious? D Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
