Chavo Guerrero Jr. is adding another massive name to his Hollywood résumé—Steven Spielberg.

During an interview with Busted Open, the former WWE and WCW star revealed that he recently worked with the legendary filmmaker on a yet-to-be-released movie. While Guerrero Jr. has been busy making a name for himself in the film industry as a go-to expert for wrestling-related projects, landing a gig with one of the greatest directors of all time is a major milestone.

“I just finished working with Steven Spielberg,” Guerrero Jr. shared. “The movie is still not out yet, but to work with someone like that—it’s just incredible. I’ve worked with so many great people in the industry, but Spielberg is on another level.”

Beyond their work together, Guerrero Jr. was surprised to find out that Spielberg is actually a wrestling fan. The two bonded over stories about André the Giant and the old-school wrestling scene at the Grand Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles.

“He was talking about how he used to watch wrestling there, and John Tolos, The Golden Greek was one of his favorites,” Guerrero Jr. said. “These are people I grew up with, people I’ve known since I was a kid. To have that kind of conversation with Spielberg, it was surreal.”

Guerrero Jr. has been steadily making moves in both Hollywood and wrestling, recently appearing at TNA’s Sacrifice tapings in his hometown of El Paso, Texas. He was featured in First Cla$ Penthouse alongside A.J. Francis and K.C. Navarro, which led to him stepping back into the ring for a six-man tag match.

“Very cool to step back in the ring, especially in my hometown,” Guerrero Jr. said. “Got to see all my old pals—Santino (Marella), Nic Nemeth, Tommy Dreamer, Gail Kim—just a really great experience all around.”

As Guerrero Jr. continues balancing wrestling and Hollywood, working with Steven Spielberg is a massive achievement. Now, the only question is—what’s next for him in the film world?
