Charlotte Flair is setting the record straight after fans accused her of “burying” Tiffany Stratton during a recent promo battle on SmackDown.

The two shared a split-screen segment ahead of their match at WrestleMania 41, but things got awkward fast—especially when Flair threw in some off-script lines that left Stratton visibly off balance.

Some fans felt Flair was trying to send a message, using her veteran status to put the rookie in her place. But in a new interview with The Daily Mail, The Queen made it clear—this wasn’t about teaching lessons. This was about reminding everyone exactly who she is.

“It’s great that you said ‘teach her a lesson’ – I did not look at it as a lesson. I looked at it as I am Charlotte Flair. Do you want me to be less than? This is what you wanted, right? This is who you want to be like, this is your idol.”

Flair compared the situation to her 2019 match with WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, a moment she used as motivation to live up to legendary expectations.

“Trish Stratus wants to come back and wrestle me. Oh, I have to be as good as she thinks I am, like I can’t be less than. ‘Charlotte Flair is that good that I have to come back.’”

Flair then got personal, touching on how 2024 changed her entire mindset after a challenging year.

“It did give me the clarity and it did light the spark, like no, my career is on my time and I’m coming for everything. I’ve done my homework.”

And when it comes to WrestleMania 41, she’s more than ready. “WrestleMania is the easy part for me. WrestleMania is my domain.”

At the end of the day, Charlotte Flair doesn’t owe anyone an apology—she’s not here to play nice, she’s here to remind the world exactly why her name carries weight. Love her or hate her, The Queen doesn’t shrink herself to make anyone else look better. If you can’t hang, maybe you shouldn’t be standing across from her in the first place.

So was Charlotte simply being herself, or was there more behind her approach to the Stratton promo? Drop your thoughts below—was it just business, or did The Queen go too far? Let us know what side you’re on.
