Charlotte Flair is not letting a number define her place in WWE—or in life.

The current WWE Tag Team Champion recently got real on the Strong New York Podcast, opening up about her thoughts on aging, consistency, and why she’s still at the top of her game as she nears 40. When asked how she keeps up with the younger talent, Flair didn’t flinch. She shut down any doubts with confidence.

“So that is for me — like I’m 39, be 40 in April and I feel like… April what? 5th? April 6th? Oh, Aries, maybe. The best. Yeah. No, but like for me, my mentality is that when you’re watch— I mean other than like the fans knowing I’ve been on TV for 10 years, I’m in the ring with 23‑year‑olds and no one’s going, ‘Oh, she doesn’t belong.’ Like you can’t tell. You look incredible. So that’s like, I think just being consistent. You can’t just show up once every month.”

She also pointed to the stigma around older women in wrestling—and society in general—as something she’s proudly pushing back against.

“Women typically… women have not had careers this long. Or like, ‘Oh my god, there’s a woman that’s going to be 40.’ Like I hope that I’m part of that.”

When the host brought up how society often writes off women after 40, Charlotte didn’t hesitate to call it out.

“We’ve put that stigma on age where there shouldn’t be. Like I’ve seen women on Instagram who are like 45, 50 and I’m like, ‘Oh, they look better than like some 20‑year‑olds.’ It’s just how— like your mindset… if you take care of yourself.”

Charlotte Flair isn’t just defying expectations—she’s erasing the outdated playbook completely. Whether she’s on RAW, SmackDown, or walking through an airport with protein powder in her bag, Flair is still proving why she’s a generational star. And according to her, she’s just getting started.
