Cedric Alexander is staying with TNA Wrestling. After months of working under a short-term agreement, the former WWE standout has officially re-signed with the company.

Fightful Select confirmed the deal was finalized recently, though Alexander’s contract had quietly expired around the time of TNA’s Bound For Glory event.

Alexander’s return comes at a pivotal time, as he’s already locked in for an X-Division Championship match at TNA Genesis. The momentum behind his resurgence has only picked up steam, especially after reuniting with his former Hurt Business allies MVP and Shelton Benjamin at Wrestlecade.

There’s still no word on how long the new contract runs, but the timing of the signing signals that TNA sees long-term value in Alexander as a key player in the promotion’s revitalized X-Division scene.
