TNA Wrestling’s working relationship with WWE and NXT is continuing to play a major role in keeping the company’s momentum going, and Anthem Sports President Carlos Silva isn’t shy about saying the partnership is helping fuel weekly engagement.
While speaking on the SeventySix Capital Sports Leadership Show, Silva explained how critical the days between TNA’s Thursday night broadcasts are when it comes to maintaining viewer interest. With TNA Impact airing weekly on AMC, he said the focus doesn’t stop when the show ends — it continues through social media activity, storyline development, and appearances across other platforms.
Silva noted that keeping energy alive between episodes requires consistent visibility, and that’s where the relationship with WWE and NXT has become a valuable piece of the puzzle.
“But the build in between is what it's all about and that's what kind of keeps the oxygen going, you know. We're live on Thursday nights, but then it's like what happens on Friday and Saturday and Sunday and what's happening with social, where are the storylines going.”
He went on to explain that crossover appearances involving TNA talent on NXT programming have helped extend storylines and maintain fan attention from week to week.
“You know, we also have a little bit of an advantage and a lift with our partners at WWE and NXT is that often our TNA wrestlers are on the CW on Tuesday nights on NXT and they might even be on some of the WWE shows depending on what's happening as we progress through the year.”
That continued exposure, according to Silva, helps bridge the gap between Thursday broadcasts while also building anticipation for upcoming events and pay-per-views.
“And so I think that is also giving us a nice lift as we get from Thursday to Thursday, and then of course we have some big events in between those Thursday nights which are pay-per-views.”
Silva also pointed to TNA’s recent schedule of major events as part of that ongoing cycle, noting that shows like No Surrender and follow-up television tapings help maintain the company’s presence throughout the week.
“And we just came off of that with No Surrender in Nashville, and then we had TV tapings in Nashville as well to make those Thursday night shows.”
The comments reinforce how closely tied TNA’s weekly rhythm has become to its growing collaboration with WWE and NXT. With talent appearing across multiple platforms and the possibility of future appearances continuing to remain on the table, the partnership appears positioned to remain a central part of TNA’s ongoing strategy.
As TNA continues building its weekly presence on AMC and strengthening its crossover visibility, Silva’s remarks suggest the company sees shared exposure as one of its strongest tools moving forward. If more talent exchanges and appearances take place, fans could see even deeper connections between the promotions in the months ahead.
