TNA Wrestling is making a massive move in 2026—its weekly show Thursday Night iMPACT! is heading to AMC starting January 15, and the wrestling world lit up with speculation over how it all came together. But according to TNA President Carlos Silva, one rumor needs to be shut down for good: WWE didn’t help make the deal.
While speaking to The Takedown, Silva directly addressed the whispers that WWE—or its longtime partners at Madison Square Garden Entertainment—helped TNA land its AMC home.
The idea gained traction because the Dolan family owns AMC and MSG, and WWE has deep ties with both. Silva says the deal was all TNA.
“No, we did all the negotiations ourselves with me leading the charge on the TNA side, and then [Creative Artists Agency] leading the charge as our representative and our partner on the deal.”
Silva didn’t reveal financial terms, but made it clear both TNA and AMC are thrilled with the agreement. And while WWE wasn’t involved in closing the deal, they weren’t left in the dark either.
“Look, WWE and NXT are very important partners to us. So we kept them in the loop. They knew what was coming. They knew about the deal before you knew about the deal. But no, they’ve got their own deals. They’re very busy with their deals. So they let us go out and cut a deal and get on a major network. And I think they’re happy for us. And we were happy with the way it went.”
With Thursday Night iMPACT! set to premiere live from Dallas, TX on January 15, 2026, from 9–11 p.m. ET on AMC and AMC+, the new era of TNA is about to begin—with zero strings attached to WWE.
