TNA Wrestling has seen a resurgence in 2024 and 2025, and Carlos Silva says that’s no accident. According to the TNA President, WWE’s involvement—particularly through talent sharing with NXT—has significantly boosted the company’s credibility in the business world.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio on July 10, Silva explained how the partnership with WWE has helped streamline creative, boost exposure, and open doors for major media discussions.

“There’s no doubt that—especially, I’d say, over the last 90 days—the integration, the seamlessness, the easy ‘send a text and get something done’ between what happened from Royal Rumble to WrestleMania with Joe to what has now happened with Joe and Trick winning the belt off of Joe… such great exposure on The CW every Tuesday night with NXT.”

He continued by pointing out how simple collaboration has become with WWE, extending even to AAA’s TripleMania event in Mexico.

“Literally a couple of calls, a couple of text messages, storylines with Tommy and Hunter are getting done easily… this doesn’t have to be rocket science, it has to be good partnership trying to figure out what’s best for both organizations to create a great fan experience.”

Beyond WWE, Silva addressed a bigger shift: wrestling is finally getting its due in corporate America. When asked whether business circles still look down on pro wrestling, Silva said those days are long gone—thanks to TKO and nonstop social media engagement.

“Absolutely. There’s no doubt about it. And you do need to give credit to the creation of TKO with UFC and WWE together… That also has gone away.”

“It’s really changed post-pandemic, and I think accelerated and really hockey-sticked up in an amazing way. And it’s great that TNA is in the major leagues, and we’re one of the big three.”

Silva added that TNA’s legacy also plays a role in how it’s now received in business rooms.

“TNA has done a great job, whether it’s been up, down, sideways—they’ve been here, and they’re foundational in the space. And now we can take that foundation and continue to grow it.”

He compared today’s wrestling fandom to NASCAR’s heyday in the early 2000s, saying it’s one of the most engaged and loyal fanbases in all of entertainment.

“I feel like it is the number one fan base in terms of just excitement and following this at every level. And I think social media over the last five years has unlocked a level of fandom in wrestling that is—as we all know—it’s 24/7, 365.”

With Silva pushing toward a new media deal and TNA’s name once again making headlines, the synergy with WWE may be what launches the company into its next era.
