Candice Michelle’s return to wrestling just took a bigger turn — because now she’s not just working behind the scenes, she’s hinting at stepping back in the ring.
The former WWE Women’s Champion was officially signed by TNA on March 13, 2026, with the company positioning her in a backstage role working with talent. But just days later, a new update has completely shifted the conversation. Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Michelle revealed how quickly things moved after she got the call from Tommy Dreamer — and how intense that transition really was.
“Tommy Dreamer called me and offered me a spot as an agent. It started in January, which was my first show. He was so funny, like, ‘Come and shadow me the first weekend, and next weekend you’ll be an agent.’ All I could think about was, that’s wrestling — we’re going to see if you survive or not, if you can do it or not, and throw you to the wolves. I’m like, okay, let’s go, I’m back.”
And that’s where things take a turn. Michelle made it clear that this opportunity might not stop at working behind the scenes. In her mind, this could be the beginning of something bigger: “I think this initial call was my hook spot, and I think it’s going to lead into my comeback.”
She then explained when that feeling first came back — and it didn’t happen inside TNA. It started earlier, at WrestleCon, when she found herself surrounded by wrestling again. That instinct didn’t go away either. She actually acted on it, approaching Dustin Rhodes directly and putting the idea out there.
“I was at WrestleCon and my promoter had Dustin Rhodes on. Something told me to go up to him and say I wanted to wrestle again… I was like, am I really listening to this voice? Maybe it’s because I’m at WrestleCon, you see all these wrestlers and you get the itch… I went over to him and said, ‘Hey, I know you have a school in Texas, and I think I’ve got the itch again.’”
That moment now feels like the starting point — especially considering what happened next. After reconnecting with wrestling at WrestleCon, Michelle then got the call from Dreamer in December — and in her mind, it all lines up.
“And then to come to December and get this call from Tommy Dreamer, I just feel like it’s coming. I don’t know when it’s coming, but it’s coming.”
Michelle hasn’t competed since the December 2, 2017, House of Glory show, where she defeated Victoria. What started as a confirmed backstage role is now looking like a potential comeback story, with Michelle openly admitting the desire to wrestle again after 8 years away from the ring. For now, she’s officially part of TNA in an agent role — but if her comments are any indication, that may not be the only role she plays for long.
